Neighborhood Talk: Legacy Square HOA

Recent posts from Legacy Square neighbors (the original posts can be found at "Legacy Square: Neighborhood Suggestions") :

"WHO IS FRANK MOORE? Who voted to change the administrator?? Why did they get rid of the other person? I spoke to that woman when I had to question what I owed in back dues, and she was very nice and polite to me. I think she should have been given a chance to help us."

"We are down to 4 board members now? What happened?"

"Why doesn't the community have a say in who is our administrator!? We just got this last one and now there is someone else?!! WHY?"

"I think there is something wrong with the new board. I spoke to the president and he was very rude."

"Pretty incredible that this new president has already fired the new administrator. Who's watching the show??"

"I'm ok with there not being a pool attendant if they are going to be like what we've had in the past. The season before last, we had a great one. Last season, we had a bunch of duds that would smoke, listen to loud music I didn't want my children to hear, hang with their own friends, etc. If you can get an attedant that is responsible and doing the job and not charge us extra in HOA fees, then I'm ok with that. As far as for kids at the pool jumping, running and screaming... I have two kids, now ages 11 and 13. They are K-I-D-S and will act like it. They do not dive in the pool but if they want to hold hands and jump in the deep then that is ok. No harm to anyone. If they want to talk and laugh and play, they should be able to and if someone thinks it is to loud or not peaceful enough then maybe they need to go to a spa or their backyard. We have always tended to go when there is either no one there or only one other family as to not disturb anyone. We follow the pool runs of no diving or running, etc. but for someone to say they want peacefulness when they are there... That is just silly. Maybe go while others are at school/work or early morning/late evening. It is a community pool. A small one at that for how many? Around 300 families? Lets be realistic about it. I was told 2yrs ago there was a plan to build a larger, nicer olympic sized pool in the back of Legacy along with an RV park for boats, RVS etc. What happened to that? And is it still an option?"

...What do YOU think?

Legacy Square: Addition To Your Home

Here is a comment from a neighbor:

"Anyone know who the point of contact is for adding an addition to your home?"

Chapel Park: Parking On The Streets

Here is a comment from a neighbor:

"As a new homeowner in Chapel Park, my main concerns are peaople parking on the strets. especially at the end of my street chapel lake south #213 and another one across the street. To pay to live in a community is to expect what is promised. no cars on streets!! when eill this be fixed?"

Neighborhood Talk: Legacy Square HOA Board Election

The following is a comment from a reader:

"The elections for a new board are coming up. Please make your voice heard and make sure you vote. If we want to see changes, we all have to vote and make this a great community to live in."

Neighborhood Talk: Villages at Berwick Ammenities

The following are comments from readers:

"I live in Villages at Berwick and am really disappointed to discover that we're expected to pay amenity fees for amenities that do NOT exist. I don't think it's right that every household in this subdivision is expected to pay $1 a day for absolutely nothing in return. I don't mind paying for amenities when they exist, but until then, I refuse to pay a cent!"

"I also live in Villages at Berwick and completely agree with the amenities’ issue. What is being done with the money that has been collected? My other question is, when are the covenants going to start being enforced? We specifically picked this community because it did have standards of appearance according to the covenants."

"Tonight there was a community meeting and I was rather annoyed with the young lady who, according to her, was the real eastate agent representing the community. She was rude and condesending to the home owners attending the meeting. I am concerned, as are other home owners, as to the described location for the aminities that where promised by the agents and the realtors that sold all of us our homes. Chapel Lake is 1/2 a mile from The Villages at Berwick and they are not for this community. The best comment from the community representative was that the "Show Home" was better than anything that we can get here. Which leads me to believe that this community developer is selling a lie to there future customers. The developer of this community needs to explain himself and "come out of hiding" direct quote from the so called rep. It might be time for the home owners to get together and seek legal representation. Then maybe we will get what we where promised.

Thanks
A concerned home owner."

Does Anyone Have A Map Of Berwick Plantation?

The following post is by special request from a Berwick Living blogger:

Hello. I am with the USPS in Savannah and am having trouble finding a good, updated map of 'Berwick Plantation'. I am working on the rural route that delivers to this area and because it is a rapidly growing section of Savannah, it's hard to keep current on its' deliveries.

Does anyone have, or know of, an overall map of the planned 'comunity' of Berwick Plantation? I know there are several different sections being developed there, but I need a map to see them all in relation to each other.

If possible, please send via email either a PDF file or guide me where I can go to obtain this.

Thank you so much,
